Welcome to the workshop on warehouse management and logistics

 The first workshop on “Warehouse Management and Logistics” will take place in Lille (France) in October 2024.

The workshop is focused on the last advances and challenges in warehouse logistics. The main topics include (but are not limited to) the modelling and solving variants of the picker routing problem, the order batching problem, the storage location assignment problem. Particular attention will also be given to the consideration of human factors from both human sciences and operations research points of view.

The workshop will be small, focused, and feature a single stream of presentations. With an informal atmosphere, it aims to gather the community working on such research area.

The venue, Centrale Lille, is an engineering school in the city of Lille, located in North France, easily accessible by train from Paris, Brussels and London. The Lille metropolitan area is the fourth most populated in France.  It is nicknamed the "Capital of Flanders", and its historic center, the Vieux Lille (Old Lille), is characterized by typical red brick houses, paved pedestrian streets and its central Grand'Place surrounded by the Opera of Lille, the old stock exchange (veille bourse) and its belfry.



Please be aware that registration and attendance at the workshop is restricted only to invited participants.

The participation is free of charge and includes the conference dinner, coffee breaks between sessions, and lunches on Thursday and Friday.

Abstracts must be written in English and be no longer than 1500 characters.
